I am trying to understand the taxa of those times. What could be the herbs or trees evolved during those times along the vedic belt. If you see the green portion evolving during 126000 years ago from Ganges till Kashmir you will connect with the non savannah condition of those areas. Probably more creepers and low height seasonal taxa in abundance which vanished little later on those plains.

ओष-धि f. (etym. doubtful; probably fr. ओष above, ‘light-containing’ See ŚBr. ii, 2, 4, 5 ; Nir. ix, 27 ) a herb, plant, simple, esp. any medicinal herb, RV. ; AV. ; ŚBr. ; MBh. &c. [ID=40735]an annual plant or herb (which dies after becoming ripe), Mn. i, 46, &c.; Suśr. i, 4, 16; 18 ; Yājñ. &c. [ID=40736]
